Serve Tri-Cities is an AmeriCorps program that dedicates our time and efforts to contributing to and strengthening our community. We conduct literacy- and math-focused interventions with students from Kindergarten through fifth grade. Serve Tri-Cities we get things done About Serve Tri-Cities Serve Tri-Cities is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to increasing Literacy and Math skills in K-5 elementary schools. Our AmeriCorps members volunteer their time through our partnership with Pasco School District . Providing Math and Literacy focused interventions , our goal is to help the ten schools that we serve. Each of our AmeriCorps Members are an integral part of a team assigned to each school. Serve Tri-Cities unites and empowers people to strengthen our community. We do this through development of leadership skills, on-the-job training and team building. This encourages contributions to our community for a lifetime.

What is AmeriCorps? AmeriCorps is a federally-funded program that focuses on giving back and strengthening communities, as well as building connections through service . This organization was created in 1993, but was previously known as the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). The AmeriCorps mission is to "Get Things Done for America," essentially being able to provide support where needed, nationwide. This can be seen in various contexts, such as tutoring in elementary schools, helping rebuild communities and providing relief in natural disasters, environmentalism, encouraging healthy futures, and economic positions.
